Job summary
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Translators proficient in Russian, Greek, and English to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for translating a wide range of documents and materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness. This role demands exceptional linguistic abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Translation: Translate documents and materials between Russian, Greek, and English, including but not limited to legal, technical, medical, and marketing content.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure translated content maintains the original meaning, context, and tone, and is free from errors.
- Cultural Adaptation: Adapt translations to suit cultural and regional differences, ensuring appropriateness for the target audience.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit translations to enhance accuracy and readability.
- Terminology Management: Develop and maintain glossaries and translation memories for consistency and efficiency.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and successful completion of translation projects.
- Client Communication: Liaise with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide updates on project status.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field. Certification from a recognized translation body is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional translation experience, with a proven track record in translating between Russian, Greek, and English.
Skills:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Russian, Greek, and English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in all three languages.
- Proficiency in translation software and tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ).
- Strong research skills to ensure accurate and contextually appropriate translations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
